Geometric Abstraction: Raza's paintings often feature geometric shapes such as circles, squares, and triangles. The "bindu" (dot) is a recurring motif in his work, symbolizing the point of creation and the essence of life. The earthy colors and the dark portion on the center of the eye, makes it difficult to make a very objective interpretation of this art work by SH Raza.

Indian Culture and Philosophy: Raza's art is deeply rooted in Indian culture and spirituality. He drew inspiration from Indian mythology, scriptures, and his own experiences in rural India. And when he did start to spend time in France, SH Raza brought the spirit and look of French landscape into his art works.

Evolution of Style: His early works were more expressionistic and inspired by the landscapes of France, where he spent a significant part of his career. Later, he shifted towards a more abstract style, integrating Indian iconography and metaphysical ideas.
